The story of one journal's quest for a sensible font size

June 28th, 2012

This is why I complain about the stupid phone camera. @ 05:03 pm

I got sick of trying to get a decent photo with the phone camera so I grabbed the Canon and quickly took the same snaps (quick meaning lift & click, no thinking about focus, lighting, camera setting, what was actually in the viewfinder etc). I won't bother pointing out which camera took which photos :)

I don't expect a camera phone to match a DSLR and the sun was starting to set, but come on....

I've been fairly impressed by the quality of iPhone pictures - they're definitely more focussed than the ones you show here.

And I like the lighting and composition of the top picture,

My previous phone (a Samsung that came with Telstra's cheapest contract) took decent, even good at times, photos, but this one (with a higher resolution camera with more control of focus etc) is blah.

I was trying to get a photo of the snow on the mountain, but after 3 attempts (that's the best of them) I decided I had other places to be.
